![]() ![]() I have no idea what makes this good in anyway. So frustrating - especially since I'm reading so many positive reviews. This leads to the main event, the Dark Phoenix Saga, which ran from Uncanny X-Men No. and it works? WHAT THE FREAKING HECK PEOPLE!? And why pay the annoying teen off if you can again just cast an illusion and make the teen THINK that you did? He's CLEARLY manipulating Jeans mind with illusions so his power does work against her. Jean seemed to turn to the dark side during the Dark Phoenix Saga. ![]() He could have made Jean THINK her stuff was stolen by using an illusion - again his powers but instead he hires a teen to go up against the Phoenix. Why!? He's freaking Mastermind - he can make anyone see anything. Jean Grey - the Phoenix for Pete's sake - gets robbed by some teenagers and goes to the police for help? She's fought Magneto but oh no it's teenagers! Oh but it was set up by Jason Wingard - who pays the annoying teen off. I honestly don't know if the author has ever read a super hero story ever before. ![]() For some reason the author THOUGHT that they could do a better job and change things around and I'm not just talking about updating it to make it more modern. BUT IT'S NOT! It's the author's TAKE on the DARK PHOENIX SAGA. Here's my take - why do people think they have to do their own take on things when telling other people's stories? I promise you this IS NOT THE DARK PHOENIX SAGA. When you tell me you're going to be giving me one of my ABSOLUTE STORIES EVER. BUT when it comes to one of my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE STORIES EVER. I was brought up with the "If you can't say anything nice" motto and try my best too. First off - I honestly HATE leaving bad reviews. ![]()
